Buenos Aires, February 24 (NA) -- Fiorella Damiani, the libertarian school counselor from Bahía Blanca accused of falsely reporting two men for a alleged rape in 2017, refused to listen to the testimonies of the two involved in the supposed accusation during the first hearing of her trial. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA) and as local media indicated, Damiani was charged with aggravated false testimony in connection with a criminal case. The trial itself consists of three stages and is expected to conclude this Thursday, February 26. The involved parties gave their testimonies at noon, and a recess had to be called because the accused requested to remain outside the courtroom and not pay attention to these accounts. Additionally, the case's instructors testified and elaborated on the investigation. The woman was detained on April 10, 2025, at Spain 1147 street, in Bahía Blanca, after the Justice system determined that the accusation she had made against two men was false. In 2017, the counselor, a member of Javier Milei's political party, had denounced Joaquín Álvarez and Fernando Pereyra, who were detained accused of the crime of aggravated sexual abuse with carnal access by two persons. However, videos demonstrated that it was a consensual encounter among all parties during a sex party. The presentation of those files allowed both to regain their freedom. After being acquitted, Álvarez and Pereyra filed lawsuits in civil and criminal courts, and following the progress of the investigation, Damiani's detention was carried out.
